      Pros

      Grad student stipend here is higher than most other places in the country and includes a very generous health insurance package that covers your entire family at no extra cost.

      Cons

      The local area leaves something to be desired, but the resources of the university more than make up for the cons of the area.

      Pros

      Some of faculty are truly outstanding: great clinicians, scientists and mentors. The research environment is vibrant given the current state of academic medicine.

      Cons

      The downturn in NIH funding has severely hampered young and middle level faculty. There are empty labs in prime spaces. The number of visiting speakers has diminished.
