Pros

Job isn't as stressful as public sector but Yale isn't the same place it used to be and is getting more and more corporate. Benefits are ok but getting worse. Raises are minimal < 3%. The work is interesting and it is cool to work for a University.

Cons

A good thing is ruined by a bad Director and Yale has lots of them. Too much drama/internal conflict and less focus on the work. Paying for parking sucks. There is a HUGE difference between union workers who get 3% raise no matter what and M&P workers who have to pick up the slack. HR is pretty clueless and Yale takes care of those at the top and at the bottom but the middle guys get squeezed.
