      Good place to conduct biomedical research. The benefits like health care are good. Culture is great

      Pay for junior staff is low and not too much to complain about given the status of funding right now

      PostDoc Training in Biological Sciences at Yale University

      Pros

      Great environment to learn and grow as a scientist. Great networking events organized by different groups, very helpful for career planning and finding jobs after postdoc. Graduate school student run career interest groups are very open to accepting postdocs as integral part of the group. You will get a chance to meet and have lunch with nobel laureates, attend the best lectures and will have access to learn (as a non credit course) any subject you would like. Plenty of social activities campus wide which are also accessible to postdocs.

      Cons

      Very long hours of work and competitive environment. Most PIs would not publish in a small impact factor journal. Lack of mentorship for alternate careers in science.

      The snow in new haven!

      Everything, its an absolutely wonderful place. Great people. The city is cute and liveable. Access it provides is tremendous. You can take as much from it as you want to
