Pros

Yale offers phenomenal science faculty to work with who are all working on incredibly interesting projects. Moreover, there is a breath of mentoring styles amongst the faculty, meaning that, through rotations, it is very easy to find the right lab for you.

Cons

Many people take issue with New Haven. It is absolutely a real urban environment, and not a tourist-trap urban environment. This means that you must actually pay attention and keep yourself safe. The usual caveats of "don't walk alone at night" apply, just as they would apply anywhere.
