The work-life balance is the best thing about working at Yardi Systems. The people who work there are also bright, intelligent, and approachable.

Cons

Some things are outdated and small decisions still need to be approved through a decision-maker process. There is a lot of old corporate practices in place but it is evolving slowly but surely.

Pros

Yardi has about 7,000 employees worldwide. This is the first large corporation that I have worked at. I was concerned that it would be a tough environment, but I have found it to be incredibly supportive and collaborative. I don't know if many companies of this size have such a supportive culture, but I'm glad that Yardi does. The company is privately owned by the founder and his family and he is very generous in terms of profit sharing and bonuses. We just hit $1 billion in revenue and he gave everyone that has been at Yardi since 2015 a 1 oz. gold coin in celebration of this, which is a promise he made back in 2015, once the company reached $1 billion in revenue. More important than the money is the very positive culture.

Cons

Some of the training could be more effective. I would guess this is true across the board in the software and IT services industries, where change is so rapid and the databases are so complex.
