Pros

Great health insurance and PTO

Cons

Poor management, inexperienced team leads, company allows bullying and harassment between employees, will call you out for "swiping in" late 1 day a year but forget about all the other days you were in 15 - 30 minutes early, promotions are based on social status instead of performance

We see you were frustrated with your experience in the Atlanta office and take comments like this very seriously. We encourage anyone who feels that they are being treated without respect to reach out directly to our VP of HR or Executive Vice President. Best of luck in your future.

Pros

Healthcare benefits offset very mediocre pay. Since the company is going through prolonged, volatile changes, there is an opportunity to bond with team members in a unique way.

Cons

My experience at Yardi started off in a positive light. My level of expertise and dedication were first seen as assets, I was able to motivate my team members, and I felt deeply that the company had the best interests of its employees and clients at heart. As challenges presented themselves, the company abandoned its values and began to turn a blind eye to opportunities for improvement, instead prioritizing unrestricted growth. There were many opportunities to salvage the situation; however, as more and more challenges cropped up, Yardi vehemently continued to deny and gaslight. Any problem-solving efforts were met with scrutiny, and blame quickly shifted to dedicated employees who attempted to improve the work environment and client experience. Concerns and proposed solutions regarding morale that were brought to the attention of upper management and Human Resources were met with resistance, dismissiveness as well as possible retaliation. It was joked that any health concerns caused by work related stress could be addressed with increased consumption of alcohol, and said outright that Yardi would not pay for proactive measures to reduce stress office wide. In order to appease widespread concern about morale, time and money was instead spent on events such as mandatory pumpkin carving and popsicle Tuesday. All semblance of empowerment has disappeared, as the level of toxicity has increased. I have always believed that the true test of customer service is what a company does when things get tough or mistakes are made. Yardi has failed this test, which in my eyes has resulted in a failed employee and client experience.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We can see that a couple of people in the Colorado Springs office are upset enough to write negative reviews, delete them, and then repost again. We’re sorry to hear that you are unhappy and we are hoping that you will take the time to discuss the issues directly with us. As you know, this office has a very capable Director of HR who has spent time meeting with everyone in small groups and in some cases individually, to find out how things can improve. But if you don’t speak with him, it is very difficult for us to understand your specific issues. While the Colorado Springs office has gone through many changes in the past year we are continuing to work on improvements. The Yardi process is that if someone raises an issue we hope she or he will also present specific suggestions to help solve it. Your advice below is good, but too general for us to take action. Please seek out a supervisor or HR so we can get specifics, or you can always call or email our President or Executive VP any time. There will never, ever be retaliation. And of course, if you feel things are intolerable for you, let us introduce you to a placement agency to help you find a place that might be more suitable.

Pros

This was a dream job for me. Started as a consultant and worked my way up to becoming a team leader concurrently for 2 teams.

Cons

After 18 years of service, i was not only denied a promotion, i was demoted back to a consultant position. The overzealous leadership of their Residential team’s leadership forced me into retirement. This company broke my spirits no one can ever imagine.

At Yardi we are fair and consistent in the promotional process, and any changes in employees’ titles are dictated by merit and one’s proven ability to take care of our clients and grow. We take pride in our kind culture and are sorry to hear that you were not a happier employee when you decided to part ways. We wish you the best going forward.
