      Pros

      The pros are as follows - compensation, benefits fully paid by organization, rewarding work, making an impact on lives. A great place to meet many people of influence. I spent almost three years working for YU and learned so much.

      Cons

      If you are an introvert, this may not be the place for you. Too many interruptions, difficult place to get work done therefore you spend off hours working. No real work/life balance. You are asked to do so much more than what you are hired to do and no consideration for it. Very cliquish and obvious. Executive director is NOT a leader - shouldn't be managing a team. Huge focus on numbers and NOT people.

      Pros

      The people make Year Up, totally mission driven and 100% committed to making an impact. Innovative and fun working environment. Great benefits. The staff is very young because this is a great place to learn the ropes

      Cons

      If you want a life outside of work, this may not be the place for you. Run like a for profit corporation with out the for profit salary
