Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you found our benefits to be valuable and that you enjoyed our remote work environment. We value training for all of our employees, including our managers, so training and coaching are an ongoing part of their career at Yelp. All of our managers go through two different programs before being selected to become people leaders. The Intro to Leadership (ITL) is a classroom-based curriculum designed to teach the fundamentals of the role. Candidates who complete ITL then need to earn a spot on our designated manager bench team, Launchpad. Here, they spend their time participating in on-the-job training whereby we start to put classroom principles taught in ITL into practice. This is not a management job, but a way for us to see whether candidates can coach and operate according to our standards. Candidates who are successful on the Launchpad will be selected to take a Sales Training Manager role within the Training org, onboarding all of our new hires. Once in the Training org, they're then enrolled in a suite of trainings, from New Manager Training to all the current curriculums legacy managers need to complete. In addition, our goal is to be as transparent as possible about the rewards that come with the Account Executive position. There are 12 tiers in the Local Sales path, each unlocking a higher title, salary, and/or new bonus structures. Because you’re unlocking higher salaries and bonus structures with each promotion, you’ll get paid more in year 2 for doing the same amount of work you did in year 1. Thank you again for sharing your feedback, and we wish you the best in your next role.

Pros

Excellent training, supportive team culture, and strong opportunities for professional growth. Yelp provides a fast-paced environment where employees can develop valuable sales, communication, and relationship-building skills. Leadership is encouraging, and top performers are recognized and rewarded.

Cons

The role can be challenging for those who are not comfortable with sales or working toward performance goals, but the training and support provided help employees succeed.
