Pros

If you are in the RPO sector there is the opportunity with large multinational companies and good corporate recruiting experience. Pay tends to be good on the RPO team.

Cons

They value the bottom line over employees. I understand that businesses need to make money. But they take it to a level that's borderline appalling to their employees. They also tend to treat their embedded employees as resources more than human beings. Advancement and growth opportunities can be limited if you are on a contract supporting a customer.

Pros

Ever changing to meet market demands, providing a very challenging environment. That can be either a pro or a con, depending on what kind of environment you like to work in. Competitive compensation. RPOs change. They have to adapt to meet the customer's needs. Sometimes that means layoffs, but if you do a good job for the client and stay in good standing with the company, Yoh works hard to find another assignment for you rather than just let you go. I like that kind of support and loyalty

Cons

Way too many emails! Sometimes makes bigger promises on it's RPO contracts than is possible for the team to fulfill. Doing more with less is not a new concept, but the most recent changes seemed a bit excessive.

Pros

I got the job fast, desperation maybe?

Cons

Where to start... Horrible divide between the teams, if you're not on the same team then expect people to be talking behind your back and awkward eye contact. Horrible atmosphere. Racist comments made from Engineering Management. This was resolved by HR in the US by saying "if you feel threatened please call 999" Brilliant idea. Engineering Management asking behind other managements' back how the team are performing to use this as ammo to slate people - very unprofessional. This office is more like working in a Library than a sales environment, its very quiet and awkward. No office radio allowed as certain management "cant work with background noise" this is a sales environment??? Bearing in mind they are never actually in the office. You are treated like you're in school - big spoons were taken away and hidden as people made their coffee with them when we should be using little spoons... So there was no cutlery to eat lunch with. If you like to hear the same joke 5 times a day, every day, then I'm sure you'll fit in with certain individuals. "walks out the door... name called, you turn around... "nothing mate" and laughs" ..... Just remember this is a recruitment environment.
