Pros

Team members are great to work with. Very talented people across all divisions

Cons

This is by far the worst company I’ve ever been associated with in my long career in the space industry. The leadership undermines employees, micromanages at every level and do not trust the experience of the talented employees who work there. The VP SV Engineering has no experience in this industry and routinely undermines and ignores those who attempt to advise them. They, including the CEO, do not understand the industry space they operate in and impede progress at every level. They offer benefits such as unlimited PTO, but then tell managers to deny reasonable PTO requests for employees. What they say they do for employees does not match what actually occurs. Untrustworthy

Pros

Free healthcare...for now. Opportunity to expand skillsets. Lenient on when you can take lunch

Cons

Oh man, where do I even begin? It was a great company with potential when I first joined the company over 2 years ago, but when the CEO sold the majority of the company to a board of shareholders, it is clearly evident that the company does not care about its employees. Management is clueless about what is even going on the floor most of the time and does not listen to their technicians when they voice concerns. Be careful in getting TOOOO good at a skillset because you will more than likely get pigeon holed into doing JUST that your entire career there. When you ask supervisors if you can learn something else or work in another department for a change of scenery and to increase your knowledge, it falls on deaf ears every single time. "Why does it matter what you do? It all pays the same" is the mentality at this company. So if you are passionate about building satellites and want to actually LEARN more concerning the entire process, steer clear from this company. Favoritism is a real thing, like other reviews mentioned here. They also just recently announced they are getting rid of night shift so a ton of technicians are losing their $2 differential pay and roughly 40 techs are going to be jammed into one day shift.... all so the company big wigs can gain more $$$ in their pockets. If you are on the Tues-Fri shift, you lose half of the paid holidays that the other shift gets all of. When we asked how that was fair, we were just told, "Well you're off that day anyway (Monday), so you shouldn't be complaining." When the obvious point is that the other shift gets like 6 more paid holidays and gets more "4 day weekends". Promotions are a joke too and clearly favorites. I've seen some hard working techs who have been there for 2+ years without any promotion while newbies get promoted within their 1st year. Doesn't make sense to me

Pros

- Some teams, where the manager or lead succesfully shields them from terrible upper management and culture, are great - Interesting programs/product - Good pay - If you're lucky there are some good opportunities to jump your career forward - Desperation from the US government to raise non-oldschool players probably means the company will be perfectly fine and keep winning contracts, so not at risk of failing.

Cons

- Management is the worst I've ever seen - I've heard managers be openly racist/misogynistic - Lying externally (to customers) and internally (to engineers, and staff) is normalized - Terrible culture in general outside of specific areas - Unless drastic changes were made, do not expect work/life balance. At one point some of the groups were made to do night shift Panamas (12 hour shifts rotating weekends). I don't think they've done that since, but be aware of the culture.
