Pros

Mission of Young Life is excellent. Lots of mentorship and support for volunteers. The Young Life culture is positive and enjoyable. Opportunities to participate in trips such as Surf Trips, Summer Camps, and Winter Camps with the youth.

Cons

Full-time positions are hard to come by since the hiring process for an actual Area Director position are rigorous, not to mention the candidate must fundraise their own salary.

Pros

I loved working with people that shared the same passion for students as I do. Young Life is an incredible ministry with an incredible mission.

Cons

Young Life is a wonderful ministry that changes the lives of hundred of thousands of students each and every year however getting paid to do it in a way took some joy out of doing it.
