      No raises for this year! After lay offs, and working harder than ever, employees learn today no raises.

      Pros

      I can't think of any pros. I guess I can maybe say it's better than unemployment, except being on unemployment would be I didn't have to work here.

      Cons

      Unmanageable work load across the board, no raises tanks hear, and insurance costs went up so paychecks went down. High turn over, ineffective management, low morale, no employee appreciation and terrible culture.

      No clear mission,non-optical industry in high level positions.Yes,it does make a difference.

      Pros

      Solid product portfolio. Strong install base. Experienced and excellent field sales force. The job comes with several perks (company issued car, cell phone, etc). The company has a very healthy selling philosophy. It is a place where you don't have to sell your soul to get work done....

      Cons

      Involves a lot of travel - upto 80% in some weeks. Expect to work long hours answering customer emails. Growth prospects within the company are very limited.
