Slow company

Pros

Work-life balance is great. Internal communication is informal. Unlimited access to capital if you work for the right division (AT)

Cons

Decision making process is very slow and frustrating. EVERYTHING needs approval from Germany. Tons of useless reporting. Upper management deals with little problems instead of focusing on the big picture. No room for growth (unless you work in Germany). Too many people hired in Germany.

Great management

Pros

Managers know what they're doing. Training is quite good. Each business unit, while separate, communicates and works quite well together. The work itself might not be so thrilling, but the people are great to work with. Compensation is generally quite good.

Cons

Not much room to negotiate with vacation days. Bonuses are generally only tax-deffered 401k contributions. While nice, it's sometimes preferable to have cash in your pocket.
