Pros
Nothing rather than Job security because it is hard to hire an employee that works a ton and ask very little.(so they hire a lot of people with no experience or the newer immigrants) A place make you think about your long term career/life----I have to say most of the reviews here are right. As a lower level employee ,yes,you have been treat badly and request a ton of work( sometimes non sense)...but same time, this is the place can make you reallythink about your career goal. do i want to be treat like this forever? What kind of skill do i have? What can I learn from this kind of company/culture? If I can handle all the redicouls task by the unskilled managers and manage them will, I will definatly empowered myself by time managing and high pressure handlement. Then next step is get more training and leave this place to become a very strong candidate for my next 100% sured better company.
Cons
The company definitly makes a lot of money. I wish one day the owner can really realize how to sustain the hard working people and make them more competitive in the market. Because the threatened/abused worker only will do what they have been asked, the motivated individual will do an extra mile with passion. And if the company have a lot of hard working people but not smart and hard working people, the company only can grow when the market is good. A price will be paid later if more competitors here with their smarter and passionate employees. The company doesn't provide any types of training which explained the why most of the managers here are lack of leadership skills. The managers here were tilted as manager because they have been working here for years. (This explains why a lof of Chinese managers are here). It is a private company and it was very small. At the time those "leader" here, the company was too small to hire quality leaders. When it was too small it didn't required to hire leaders..... Now it is growing, the company hired some outsiders but the existing "leaders" are still here. Unfortunately, for new hires that were placed under the unskilled leaders will have very bad career experience. Also, since this company has a very unique culture, some leaders that were hired outside either have been assimilated by the current hierarchical and unskilled leaders or have left the company. The company have made some changes, however it will require a good number of years to see the bigger changes.
