Pros
There are opportunities to work on interesting cutting-edge work with some of the new subsidiaries that they've acquired. The pay is very good in the nuclear division and you will move up quickly if you work hard. Employees are treated with a lot of respect and hours are flexible, but this varies a little from group to group.
Cons
Although some of the work is interesting, a lot of it is life support for old power plants, which is the nature of the industry. Right now it's feast or famine, and when it's feast the stress level can be extreme. Given the current market and gas prices, engineering contractors are getting less work and it's difficult to see what management is doing to counteract that. Quality assurance can be very overbearing compared to what I've seen at other similar nuclear engineering outfits. The benefits package is so-so at best.
