Talented engineers and devs, poor management
Pros
Talented individuals that are there solely because they are either fresh out of school or just recently moved to Colorado and haven't been around long enough to hear of zayo
Cons
Poor employee moral would be an understatement, although I have left slightly over a year ago my some of my colleagues that stayed report things have only gotten worse. As a STEM major working at Zayo was a nightmare as you would a MBA running an engineering or IT department with zero clue about the technical details of the everyday operations. Pay was extremely poor about 30% below market and whenever this was brought up they would lie to your about RSUs making up the difference. Besides receiving at 10k rsu package when the company went public I didn't see a raise the entire 3 and a half years I was at zayo. The engineering department is still stuck in the 90s running on outdated software and equipment whilst the dev team struggles to manage a plethora of spaghetti code that makes up the entirety of their salesforce platform.
