Pros
-Zebra truly felt like a family for the nearly 7 years I was there in the EMC division. Most people are kind, knowledgeable and friendly. It definitely feels like a tight knit community. Direct managers always were flexible and always listening to what you had to say. -The company tries to create a good culture with events and freebies - though they fall short on this at times. -If you are working on Android, the work can get repetitive. However, they have definitely started putting more of an emphasis on innovation, so there is room to explore different technologies and opportunity. -Good amount of starting PTO. Decent benefits. Gym on site (with trainers)
Cons
-Pay is not as not nearly as high as places in NYC or even other cities. They take advantage of the fact that they are one of the few engineering companies out in the suburbs of Long Island. -They attempt to make a great culture with occasional events and freebies, but it often feels somewhat half hearted. -LATE NIGHT + EARLY MORNING CALLS!!! You are working with folks around the globe, and no one cares what time zone you are in.
