Time mismanagement runs rampant. More time spent updating data on slides and presenting status updates to leadership than spent doing the work. Micromanagement means any decision must pass multiple rounds of leadership before approval; projects languish in purgatory before being restarted with a 180 flip on direction. Matrixed, siloed workspace. 4-6+ hours daily in meetings means there's little time to do the job. Constant sense of dread and low morale. Lots of empty talk about culture and values that don't materialize into tangible employee benefits.
