      Old school - Lots of politics - no advancement opportunities

      Pros

      Got a few good colleagues from legacy Zebra.

      Cons

      Some managers are rude and have bad behavior, bad influence. Company outsources almost everything to China and Malaysia. Layoff employees who work for them 25- 35 years There is no advancement opportunities. Lots of useless layers of management. There is no work life balance. Long hours working expected.

      Culture Starts at the Top

      Pros

      Over the course of the pandemic, the company has done fantastic and products are in high demand. Plenty of growth, and could be a great place to learn and grow if you have a good manager.

      Cons

      Management in NY is political and overreaching. Lots of directors contending for power and using employees as pawns causing wheel spin and unproductive work. Micromanagement is common. CEO is pushing return to office in spite of unprecedented company success over 2 years of remote work. Management has struggled to adapt to remote work, seeing top talent jump ship for better opportunities as company is forced back into cubicles. The company struggles with new remote working dynamics and was absolutely pumped to introduce foosball tables and pedal desks pre pandemic. Diversity was always valued, but is now being superficially advertised because it's popular; still dont have MLK day as a company holiday so it's mostly just talk.

      Pros

      Long Term employee, Started with Symbol, Motorola bought us, then Zebra bought the Symbol business from Moto. Solid products, much improved service solutions, good strategy bringing in cloud based SW solutions tightly integrating all product lines into the sale.

      Cons

      Comp Plan is too complicated, company tends to hold onto commissions longer than most companies in teh form of Quarterly and annual 'true up'.
