If you fail to hit 50–80% of the newly inflated acquisition targets—many of which aren't realistically achievable—you end up taking less home than before. It’s a pay structure that feels more punitive than motivational. Micromanagement from Chicago Leadership Western territory reps, brace yourselves: your "manager" in Chicago likely has no firsthand sales experience and minimal understanding of your market dynamics, partners, or customer pain points. In five years, I saw them in the field twice—and both times, they neglected any serious engagement with prospects. That disconnect is telling. High Turnover and Flat Growth The TAM team churn is relentless. Leadership talks about 30% year-over-year growth, but recent data shows no growth since 2022—even through the COVID recovery period. Morale is low, and strategic follow-through is lacking.

Decent pay and unlimited PTO

Cons

The senior leadership team rules through fear. Middle managers are afraid to share bad news with senior leadership because there is a history of retribution and explosive tempers. It was impossible to actually accomplish anything because you needed to spend the majority of your time trying to figure out how to not upset the leadership team
