Pros

Excellent CEO and Exec Mgmt. They will succeed. Excellent products - dominating marketshare. Really smart people.

Cons

Pay/Comp/Benefits slightly less than 50th percentile. Success of ZBR stock does not trickle down to ee's paychecks. There is an ee stock purchase at a slight discount. Very limited internal mobility. Once you're in a slot you stay there. Hardware mentality - trying to change, but corp. culture not allowing it.

Pros

Good businesses and verticals to be in, they seem to be on the cusp of really great things. They work hard on culture, and most everyone has very good integrity. Good benefits, good work/life balance. People are very professional, yet pretty easy going. Family friendly, and a place to really have a good career.

Cons

There are so many products, solutions, offerings, and industries Zebra has, the message gets confusing and muddled. Not much advancement from within, instead Zebra tends to go to outside hires. Most of the focus is on SW. HW is being treated like a commodity.

Pros

Good cafeteria, covered parking, adequate compensation.

Cons

Tough place to project manage due to a lack of engineering skill sets. Many projects never complete or are shelved due to lack of business and IT accountability. Some manage this by sugar coating progress and hope they find a new gig prior to go live. Another approach is to offload onto a new Employee/ contractor and walk away. The most alarming is when management starts playing games with your prenegotiated billable rate. They’ll give contractors praise then ask them to take a cut while in the midst of a project or ask you last minute to take some time off in order for management to check off their yearly “cost cutting” goals. How’s that for a morale booster?
