The onboarding process was largely self-directed, with minimal support or guidance. The employee handbook emphasized, in bold red text, the actions that could lead to termination—which immediately set a concerning tone. Although the company promoted certain values and a strong culture on paper, they weren’t reflected in practice. Training was also lacking, and I didn’t have the opportunity to fully learn the role before being reassigned to another project. Despite this, I was still expected to be proficient in the original position, which I had never truly performed. Additionally, there were consistent technical issues from day one that interfered with the speed of work.
