Pros

Being around some people who genuinely care and love what they do - green machines ready to learn the business.

Cons

Where do I begin? This place is NOT an Advertising Agency. It is a sales company only caring about quarterly goals. There is no "putting the client first" or being honest and transparent regarding deliverables. As a Director who values herself in having input throughout the entire process, I am flabbergasted by the fact that I had never seen a creative brief or concept - after all, it is the media director who knows the most about where the creative will perform the best. Net/Net - you are never set up for success - personally as well is with the client.

Good for a few years entry level

Pros

For anyone looking for entry level work out of college- this is an amazing experience. If you’re smart, willing to work hard and put in the hours you will get exposure to big projects and grow quickly. You will be picking experience over pay, but as a first job out of college I don’t think it’s a bad thing.

Cons

This is not a place to grow your career, with the exception of a few people who have really dug in at Zimmerman for longer than 4-5 years. You will burn out eventually. You will not get paid well. But if you go there, do as much as you can in a year - three years then leave, you will get other amazing opportunities.
