Pros

Fast moving industry, some 'name brand' clients, great paid time off policy including most of the week between Christmas and New Years off. The office building is new and modern in design. There is a nice mix of older and younger employees. Probably not a bad place to spend a few years.

Cons

Office building is nice, but the location is bad....nothing around it. Very high turn-over of staff. Salaries very mediocre. Seems like the work pace shifts as clients come and go, but of course, that's just the industry. Middle management not particularly good. You need to definitely be a self-starter here because the management will do little to guide you.

Pros

You're given a lot of responsibility off the bat because it's only a younger crowd that works there so you learn a lot.

Cons

Terrible pay, terrible hours, no growth, the worst office culture and are never appreciated.

Pros

It's hard to completely dislike Zimmerman because they are one of very few companies that will open the door to a career in advertising to a person with little to no experience (especially kids just out of college).

Cons

On the con side, the company (and surely the CEO) are very aware they are giving these inexperienced employees this opportunity and will use it to their advantage, to the point where it seems borderline unethical. In the Account Coordinator position, I worked late into the night often. Working long hours wasn't really the problem, I was okay with working hard to climb the ladder. There was just no ladder to climb. They worked us to the bone with no real opportunities for advancement and a bottom of the barrel salary which caused really bad team morale.
