Pros

The HR person who helped set up benefits was very nice and helpful

Cons

No transparency (within 2 months of starting a coworker was fired and no explanation was given - I have no idea how I'm being evaluated even after asking directly - the person handling my contract offers no support) The pay is terrible The benefits are terrible One of the requirements of this position is conference attendance (the employee must front the entire cost which is onerous given the pay rate)

Pros

Decent pay, Low stress, Nice location

Cons

The job itself is not stressful at all. In fact, the work is very easy and redundant. There is room to move up in the company since they make sure to hire within. The issue stems from the obvious favoritism and open doors for friends and family of the upper management team. I haven't been here long and the trend is sickingly obvious. If you know someone, you're hired. If you REALLY know someone, you're promoted. The rest are left behind to watch the sorority that they call management giggle together in corners, sing and yell loudly throughout the office and take long lunches on the regular. (This is not to take away from the FEW who are promoted/hired based on their work alone.)

Pros

ZAI is government contracting company so most of their contracts are at government facilities. It puts in a place to network and meet new people.

Cons

The challenges of working with ZAI is that they do not take care of there employees. I have worked in my current position for two years. ZAI took over the contract a year ago. The contract that i am under is the easiest contract a contracting company could negotiate with the government. Our pay was based on the tasks that we perform. The tasks and the daily operations of the position have increased 25-30%. There is no incentive to work and you don't see a representative from the company. They will not consider raises for employees and they will use you to get the job done.
