SMB solution stack. Lack of direction.

-stable company -decent pay -decent work/life balance

Cons

-technology has fallen far behind competition -competition is squeezing this company which lead them to acquire AppRiver. -lack of enterprise direction and solution. -certain teams in Dallas still run as a “family owned” business and give the family and friends promotion path.

The employees that are left are great. Benefits are good.

Cons

AppRiver was a great place to work until Zix bought the company. Don’t count on moving up in this company unless you kiss butt. Loyalty and knowledge will not earn you anything but more work dumped in your lap. Zix does not care about the employees. Constant lay offs. Empty promises. Awful place. Pay is on lower end.

I have watched the culture at Zix change over the years and am really impressed at the direction the Company is headed/the new talent that we have added to our teams. Most of the executives care about the success of the company and care a lot about their employees. Benefit package is great and the continued attention to providing exceptional benefits in the every changing insurance world does not go unnoticed.

Cons

Some executives/management are not able to adapt to times/change is difficult for some managers. As a tech company we should look like a tech company
