      Bad work-life balance, high pressure to over-perform, and awful politics.

      Pros

      Used lots of technologies and was responsible for production services throughout the SDLC from development > testing > prod.

      Cons

      Was paid at least 30% below industry standard as an SDE. Was promoted but never saw more than a 2% increase. Was on-call 24/7 for any/all issues with no backup on services in production.

      Our starting salaries across each department are competitive with market standards in the greater Seattle and Cincinnati areas. Yearly wage increases for Zonar employees are a reflection of individual job performance. In the last 6 months HR has received upwards of 50 employee referrals for numerous positions; that alone speaks highly of the job satisfaction enjoyed by current Zonar employees.

      High stress job with lots of office politics.

      Pros

      You can learn a lot here as a developer. Coworkers are respectful, helpful and are easy to get along with.

      Cons

      Company sends out memos on a monthly basis with a list of new hires and fires. Constantly feeling like you have to watch over your shoulder. Office politics. Lots of pressure not to make mistakes.

      Great company culture and easy going environment. Continuously surrounded by intelligent and forward thinking group of people that challenge you to exceed expectations. Zonar Training and education programs are available at your fingertips, opening doors for opportunities to grow in the company. Some of the most attractive aspects of this company are the resources that are available to do your job well, continuing education programs, have awesome reporting managers, as well as company –wide health and wellness initiative where you are provided with complimentary fruits, beverages and workout facility.
