Pros

Stable (well, my team won't get re-orged and is very safe), great medical benefits, nice work from home policy next to tech of course, generally nice people

Cons

Horrible leadership decision making. They don't understand the current marketplace opportunity, most people work in Germany and truly don't have the best barometer of what works in North America. Brand doesn't like to take risks, so will never grow. Extremely disconnected over comms, media content, brand, product, sales, and merchandising. Don't seem to care about missing opportunities or communicating across teams. People have too much work because our systems are from the early 2000s and it eats away at workload efficiency. This leads to complacency once you achieve what title you want here, and half will continue helping and half will just shutdown and take their paycheck with "opportunistic" effort given when it's needed. They don't pay people enough. Anyone who's younger than 30 will probably be very frustrated with the "old" way of doing things that you finally realize is what's holding everyone back. Whole brand needs to grow a pair and act boldly.

Terrible management

Pros

Benefits. Flexible time. Great brand. Great discounts.

Cons

Management. Work life balance. Not all of management is bad. Impossible workloads and that obviously reflects as poor performance. Management seems to be more worried about projects than actually managing anything. The way some managers speak to their people is sad to say the least. If management is not changed I worry about the future of the company. Strong employees keep a business running but management missed that memo. There is no room to advance. Some managers have been in the same position for so long that they are comfortable mistreating people as there are no consequences. High turnover in some areas as there is no incentive to stay. Companies in the area offer higher pay and treat employees better.

Pros

Financial compensation packages are good, not great, but non-financial benefits are unmatchable. PTO is very generous and encouraged to use. I have extreme flexibility in work location with the team I'm on. Not to mention the company culture of a growth mindset and genuinely wanting to aid one-another in career advancement.

Cons

Complexity of large organization can be extremely challenging at times. Financial pay is reasonable, but definitely not top tier. You're sacrificing lifestyle for some pay, which in my eyes is healthy and by far worth it.
