Pros

Being able to book cruises at travel agent rates and helping families book incredible once in a lifetime vacations.

Cons

Managers are not great leaders and make it obvious they care more about their bonuses than your growth. The business model of signing people up for a membership is classic bait and switch. The commission is a joke but the hourly is sufficient. Most employees will top at 5 percent but it resets every pay period so 5% of 2000 isn’t life changing. Also sounds like corporate is moving call center jobs to the Philippines.

Pros

Good commissions compared to others in Portugal.

Cons

Mid management works like a headless chicken. Poor communication. Lack of follow up on complaints. Things changes without notice which makes you vulnerable financially as it might affect your commission. Again, poor communication.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your honesty and the insights into both the positive aspects and the challenges you've faced. It's great to hear that you find the commissions at Arrivia to be competitive in Portugal. However, we understand and take seriously the concerns raised about mid-management challenges, poor communication, and the impact on financial stability and employee loyalty. Your advice on creating a more loyal workforce and improving communication is valuable. We're committed to addressing these issues and fostering a positive work environment. It's regrettable to hear about the turnover of tenured employees, and we acknowledge the importance of maintaining a supportive and communicative culture. We appreciate your input and encourage you to share any further suggestions or concerns. Your feedback is crucial as we work towards creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and informed.

Pros

Possibility to work from home.

Cons

No room to grow, no internal transfers until you are friends with the manager or having a relationship with one, the volume of calls and irate, entitled and ignorant clientele will leave you with severe PTSD. This happened with me the supervisor imposed so much work on me and two others and when reported to HR , HR protected the supervisor off course. Most inhumane, incompetent and severely self centered individuals playing management.

We are sorry to hear about the challenges you've experienced, and your feedback is important to us. It's disheartening to learn about your perception of the limited room for growth and difficulties with internal transfers. Your concerns regarding the volume of calls and interactions with clientele are also noted, and we understand the impact it can have on well-being. It's regrettable to hear about your experience with a supervisor and the perceived lack of support from HR. Your well-being is a priority, and we take these matters seriously. We encourage open communication, and if you're comfortable, reaching out to hello@arrivia.com to express your concerns so we may provide an opportunity for resolution.
