Pros

Good entry level position if you want to get into insurance with no experience and move up elsewhere, but be prepared to make sacrifices mentally and time-wise. OTL training isn’t bad, all depends on your trainer.

Cons

Terrible hours; in the first year you are forced to work every Saturday and 12-8 with no guarantee of a specific finish time. Rude and angry clients with no support from management or underwriters —you will have to deal with countless IT issues that aren’t your fault and it will still be used against you on your scorecard. Unrealistic expectations/KPIs. You will only learn enough insurance to sell to the client but never have the opportunity for proper training or mentorship from manager due to fast paced environment. Making the client download an invasive app is more important than properly advising and protecting clients. Don’t stay here too long if you value your time and learning properly. Not worth the pay. Micro-managed with no breaks and timed for bathroom breaks. You will be questioned if called in sick or if you have a bereavement leave and they will call it an “absenteeism problem”. Only go for this job if you’re desperate for money or experience, but look elsewhere after a year as you will be more under pressure for practically the same pay; they will make up anything not to give you their promotion of peanuts.

Pros

none, they only want submissive robots, who don't think for themselves

Cons

Entirely script focused. Even if you have a sales record in the top 1% of regional or national sales agents, if you don't follow their pre-written, scripts, to the letter, as a submissive robot, they WILL FIRE you... they allow NO input from proven, successful, agents, entirely a top down micro-management structure. DO NOT WORK HERE.
