A God-awful Place to Work

Pros

There are a few pros such as fully stocked kitchen, massages, and car washes. The employees are great but most work in fear of the CEO and his antics.

Cons

The CEO is egotistical, unstable, and loves to bully. Each day, you never know what flavor of his insanity you will receive. His behavior is bound to push the company into the status of a hostile work environment. Unless you are desperate for a job or a masochist, this is not the place for you.

Unstable Company

Pros

Due the negative environment disseminated by upper management, it creates a bond amongst the rest of the staff. Through the truly supportive coworkers is the only way I was able to advance my skills there and enjoy some of the days. The office is closely located to Highway 50 which makes for a nice commute.

Cons

This is an unstable company to work for partly due to CEO which then is passed through upper management. The expectations for you as an employee change depending on which manager you speak to or even what day of the week it is. Due to the volatile environment that is created, it is a forever revolving door of employees. You can see this once you start working because the picture on the BenefitsCONENCT (bC) career page while only taken a 15 months ago is completely out of date. The pay for comparable jobs in the Sacramento area is much less here at bC than other companies. It was hard coming to work knowing that at any chance I could be belittle in front of other coworkers. It was seemingly was a random choice when this would happen and my fellow coworkers were belittled in front of their peers having their intelligence questioned in the worst way. While the outside benefits (car wash/open kitchen) are great the benefits we truly need Medical/Dental/Vision and 401k leave you out in the cold. The high deductible health plans left me as the employee at cost for most if not all of my health care.

Not worth it

Pros

Great co-workers, for the most part. A few nice perks but nowadays you get many of the same things at other companies. Great office.

Cons

The other less than favorable reviews are spot on. I have never felt so unvalued and uncomfortable at a company. Going to work was a struggle on a daily basis – you never knew if you’d be the next person to be berated in front of your coworkers. Everyone at this company works extremely hard but the CEO doesn’t see that – instead he nitpicks you for the most ridiculous things. He likes to tell everyone that HE provides the best benefits and that the employees are just not grateful. Guess what? Benefits aren’t everything. The pay is well below average. The turnover is extremely high. If you are looking for an environment where you can be successful and grow this is NOT the place. Save yourself the stress.
