Pros

None that come to mind.

Cons

Poor pay. Horrible management. Pre routed sales calls. Unethical agents. They constantly cut commission which is taxed at 37%. Currently you will make $12.50 a policy. You are on salary- but you’re never paid the salary. The math doesn’t math. Their attendance policy is super strict. You have to plan your sick days 2 weeks in advance. Middle management /team leads that do not advocate for their staff. No matter what you will always be wrong. The parking downtown is 3 blocks away under a bridge. No security, super dangerous to be walking down there if you work a late shift. And you pay for that parking even though their job listing says different. Super high insurance rates that increase every year and they don’t pay for the things people really need. Their policies are hard to sell because they cost more than all competitors. Their main computer system is the absolute worst and the IT department are not skilled enough to change it or fix it. This is a call center that is mostly fed terrible leads by lead companies they hire. People are so frustrated by the time you get them that the conversations are rather unpleasant most of the time and trust me when I tell you that none of the team leads will take or return a call to anyone, no matter what. This job is frustrating, overwhelming and after 6 months you will fight for a sales call. The first six months they will feed you those good leads. After that , you better be a good salesperson or an unethical one or else they will have no problem firing you. The turnover is huge and when brand new agents are doing better than senior agents, that is the first red flag.

Pros

This is a younger but growing area of the Berkshire Hathaway family of businesses and it's really great to be a part of it! There is some challenging work, but having great team and manager make that manageable.

Cons

Salary not as high as I wanted - feel that I should have gotten more based on range in posting.
