Pros

Lots of opportunities for leadership and networking and climbing the company ladder by rubbing shoulders with the higher-ups. Great life-work balance

Cons

Not enough responsibilities and job exposure in the first year of work. You will feel as if you are stifling with boredom. If you are actually interested in becoming a technical expert in your field, think again. Should start with 3 weeks vacation.

Pros

Benefits and compensation above average in the marketplace For technical functions, there's room to grow and learn. Best place to be is Houston, TX, as the company is shifting its corporate presence there.

Cons

No work-life balance Constant reorganization and change The only division that is respected is Exploration and Production. If you're in one of the other divisions, you work in daily fear of downsizing and divestment.
