Pros

The work is interesting and in finance it enables you to see the entire operation from birth to completion and get knowledge of the technical aspect.

Cons

Career progression is slow, due to large numbers of people ahead of you in the line towards promotion who are equally deserving.

Pros

BP has unlimited budget for the latest technology and software. The facilities were high quality which made it pleasing to work there.

Cons

Positions that should be filled by permanent employees are filled by contractors with little to no hope of becoming a permanent employee. Contracts are renewed on a regular basis. Many of the contractors there have been there for years with no benefits or paid time off.
