Pros

One of the best place to work -- Work-life balance is very good; welfare is one of the best compared to other companies; colleagues are friendly

Cons

Have to finish your work fast -- working overtime is sometimes considered as inefficient. Occasionally, politics can get to you.

Pros

world recognized brand ability to travel worldwide good package (pension, allowances) good opportunity for engineers to transfer into commercial role pretty stable

Cons

lower pay compared to bank/consulting commercial function is dominated by engineers and geologists too much pressure on HSE which ends up in formality sometimes waffling is appreciated and silent-runners are overlooked, but that is probably is typical for all corporations

Pros

Good pay and benefits if you are a permanant member of staff, free lunch for example and nice office environment to work in.

Cons

Could be quite a dull place to be at times, whether this is because of the surrounds or the people I am not sure but the days at BP seem to drag like no other place I have worked!
