I started as an intern with no stipend I accepted because it was WFH but after accepting the offer I was required to come to office, During my internship I was put on paid client projects which I never signed up for Someone else was put on billing instead of me which is completely illegal after completing 6 months of internship which was almost slavery I was onboarded as a "trainee" after completing 2 client projects in GENERATE AI. The compensation was really bad had to fight for the offer as well they hire many unpaid interns just for unpaid slavery in hopes for offer after internship but this never happens they become forever unpaid labours after working on multiple projects the seniors in gen ai have no knowledge of generative AI especially architects and project managers and set unrealistic deadlines having no idea how gen ai projects work as a software engineer I had no value of my opinions they are turned down and managers force their own buisness logic and that results project failing and the blame is conveniently shifted to the developer.
Managers insist on working on weekends claiming that you can claim comp offs but the company has no comp off rule basically managers lie so that you work on weekends but we cannot claim comp off anyhow it's a very bad place to work
