Pros

Adequate pay and decent benefits.

Cons

Weak management, high job stress (customer support), front-line staff are often surprised or poorly prepared for major changes that upset buyers/sellers, lack of respect for front-line workers (becoming a typical call centre), little discussion of career advancement (dead-end job).

Pros

eBay has great benefits. It is second only to Google for perks. Measured pace for work.

Cons

Executive staff is making so many changes that it is hard to understand and also worse to hear the customers complaining. No direction. People leaving at a fast clip. Not sure if this is a way for upper managermet to reduce headcount but it sure feels that way.

Cons

Microscopic perspective on product development; little or no coordination across product teams; brittle, inflexible technology platform; Intellectual ghetto in product management, design, and development; Fat, bloated organization, overheavy with non-productive middle management; no cohereent division of responsibility; All tactics / no strategy.
