Pros
eBay has a great culture- it values its employees and its customers. There is a strong work ethic, but also a sense of team. I like my co-workers and I like my work.
Cons
There is a strong pressure to present data analysis in a rosy light for senior management. Projects/experiments are rarely presented as a failure. Individuals are promoted to management for their work ethic and ability to present projects in a positive light- not for their ability to manage people. For these reasons eBay's future is uncertain.
