Nice facility? Free food every now and then?

Very poor management, managers play "favorites". Poorly run departments. Training was awful.

Pros

- Good Benefits - Smart Co-workers - The changeover to full remote was handled well

Cons

I have lost faith in the Leadership of this company. Recently it was stated they were waiting to see how mandates went in the court system. However, a new policy has since been put in place based off of the same OSHA mandate that has been suspended due to orders from the U.S. Court of Appeals. An application (from an outside company) needs to be downloaded to your phone to prove vaccination status and no alternatives for testing are provided. For a company that deals with so much sensitive data, I would also think they put a premium on their workers privacy. The heavy-handed attempt to control their employees lives outside of the office shows how out of touch they continue to become. The timing of their decisions is appreciated though as I was on the fence for a recent job offer and this just made the choice for me. If you value your own personal choice and freedom then I do not suggest this company, regardless of vaccine status. This is a step in the wrong direction, and worries me about other overbearing decisions they may make down the road against their employee privacy. Of course if you find comfort in corporate overreach into your personal life, this place may be perfect.

The safety and health of our employees has always been our number one priority, and the policy we created to reopen eMoney’s offices focuses on the same principles. While there may be alternative viewpoints, I’d like to clarify some misinformation in your post. We are a private company and have the right to require the COVID vaccine for employees who wish to return to our offices, participate in company-sponsored events, and travel for business. We took the OSHA rules – which are currently stalled – into consideration while developing our own policy. Requiring the vaccine is our legal right, as long as we provide a suitable alternative for all employees. Our suitable alternative is working from home and participating in events virtually. No employee is required to return to an office. In fact, 50% of our workforce stated in a survey that they do not wish to return. The app that you reference, which will capture vaccination status, is part of a robust and secure HR platform we already use as a company to manage employee benefits, payroll, PTO, schedules, and other information. This vendor has been used by eMoney for several years, which means it has passed our strict vendor approval process. Additionally, vaccination status is not protected by HIPAA, and therefore asking for proof of vaccination does not breach employee privacy. While you have the right to make decisions in your personal life, as an employer we have the responsibility to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all eMoney employees. We are proud to accommodate a hybrid workforce, which will both keep our employees safe and drive our business forward. If you have questions, please email feedback@emoneyadvisor.com, or take advantage of one of the various internal channels available to employees to share feedback. -- Joanne Del Signore, Head of People Experience, eMoney Advisor

Pros

There are a lot of things to like about eMoney. The company has a mature Agile mindset and is dedicated to it far beyond the typical "we have daily standups". There is a willingness to embrace new methods and ideas, to some degree. They try to stay up to date with tech and see the importance of a modern system. I would also say the benefits are quite good, even beyond the typical ones. There are frequent company meetings where they will provide free food, even beer, to all employees. Work-life balance is very good, with the ability to even work fully remote if approved. Even more, I never ran into any issue with PTO or when family/personal things required coming in late or leaving early. WFH is generally at will. Overall, on the pro side, I would say eMoney is a good place to work for. Provided, of course, you don't find the below Cons applicable to you...

Cons

...and there lies the rub. You see, you'll be fine at eMoney if you generally fit in and get along with your manager. The problem starts when you start to realize your manager does not like you, or you don't "fit the mold" in some way. This is particularly true if you have things like mental illness that make you an easy target. So I would warn anyone at eMoney or thinking of working there - watch your back. Cover your butt and document every interaction with your manager. Don't do what I did and assume that HR will bother to verify lies told about you. eMoney is a brutal place if you don't fit in, so take care of yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to give us both your negative and positive feedback. We are committed to creating an inclusive, collaborative, and fun environment for all our employees, including those with disabilities. We’re disappointed to hear about your negative experiences and are committed to ensuring they do not happen in the future. We have taken your feedback directly to our human resources department and they are addressing the places we’ve missed in providing a supportive work environment. We pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive work environment, so it is concerning that you feel employees, especially those who may suffer from mental illness, have been singled out. We have policies strictly prohibiting this type of behavior, as well as reporting hotlines and multiple other ways that our employees may report any incidences should they ever occur. Reports may be made anonymously and without fear of retaliation. We understand that you no longer work for eMoney, but If you would like to share more about your experiences, please contact us by emailing feedback@emoneyadvisor.com so that we can set up a time to talk. Thank you again for your honesty and feedback, it helps us make eMoney a better place. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
