Pros

Most of the people I work with are pretty fantastic, driven, and intelligent people. We get to work with a lot of new technology and have a lot of independence and freedom with how we get to move towards solutions. The atmosphere can be pretty fun, I think eMoney does a good job finding people who are good to work with.

Cons

Massive brain drain in development over the past few years, the company has lost a lot of long term employees in the development space which has really hurt. There seems to be a headlong rush into pushing for new features and adding new stuff and constantly piling more work onto dev teams. If you want good results, there needs to be time to focus and achieve said results. It's impossible to work on 7 different things at one time and have any of them do well. Benefits and compensation are average at best. Raises are mediocre. PTO starts @ 15 days + a day for your birthday. Gone are the days of starting with 24 days of PTO, which they need to bring back for the new employees.

Pros

Endless supply of gourmet coffee, snacks, and drinks

Cons

eMoney is a toxic place to work. The culture is now best described as dreadful, appalling, and awful. The employees are grateful to work remote to avoid the negative atmosphere of the office. Upper management is extremely unorganized and unwilling to learn the current process before implementing new changes. Employees feel that Human Resources (PX) is a joke. It seems like PX doesn’t want to review any complaint because they're afraid to confront the people that the complaint is against. There have been reports brought to the attention to upper management and PX's including personal and psychological harassment. Many of these victims were told that there wasn't enough evidence to investigate the claim and it was "hearsay." This lack of support from upper management and PX makes their employees look elsewhere. It's disconcerting when during your exit interview PX asks that you add a 5 start review to Glassdoor.
