Way Too Unprofessional and Toxic

Pros

Remote, decent benefits, the people actually doing the work are great

Cons

This business honestly used to be amazing. However, after repetitive rounds of layoffs, we have gradually lost all of the people who made eXp awesome. Management acts like high school now. If you aren't part of the clique, they will target you until you leave. They recently did a secret round of bonuses that management had a say of who received them. As you can imagine, it had nothing to do with how much you do for the agents, but rather if you are liked by your manager (they probably hoped that we wouldn't talk). It is crazy that our founder is still part of the business as we are watching the place crumble. It is never a good sign when there are a large number of people who are getting ready to leave a company. And all agents reading these reviews should heed the warning. It is deteriorating quickly.

Widespread Layoffs...again

Pros

Remote work and the ability to help staff and agents.

Cons

Cons: Disconnected Executive Leadership: Upper management operates in a vacuum, making top-down decisions without input or insight from the people doing the work. There's a clear lack of transparency and accountability. Lack of Employee Recognition: Hard work and dedication are consistently overlooked. There's little to no appreciation for individual or team contributions, which kills morale and motivation. No Clear Compensation Strategy: There is no structured raise system in place. Salary progression feels arbitrary, inconsistent, and often non-existent—leaving employees stuck with stagnant pay. No Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA): Despite inflation and rising living expenses, there are no regular COLA adjustments nor any this year. Top-Down Culture: Feedback is rarely welcomed, and when it is, it's often ignored. Decisions are handed down without explanation, leaving employees feeling powerless and undervalued.
