Pros

All the lies you choose to believe

Cons

You do the research, look up the CEO by name, FanBox, SMS.AC, and the SD channel 6 news story. They all lead to the same thing, a horrible and unethical company. Ask any recruiter who's worked in San Diego for a while and they'll tell you one thing, "Stay away from this company!". I'll tell you my personal experience, I was there for exactly 1 month as a developer. I was fed a steady stream of lies, alcohol, and company outings. The reality turned out to be a company that cut my salary to minimum wage 15 days in while I worked 16 hour days (no joke) and was yelled and cussed at by the CEO. And they still had the nerve to throw "company outings"...using what money? They couldn't pay any salaries! In addition, the project deadlines were completely unreasonable and the feature tracking, Agile methodology was a complete waste of effort.

Pros

This is a small company and as such, you are able to pitch your thought's and ideas, and have 1:1 chats with the CEO himself. Speaking of which, unlike other CEOs that are less attached with the actual product development and just focus in administrative tasks, the CEO here a lot of knowledge in the tech space (being an former VB developer, he knows what programming is like), and is very involve with the product design/development, you can see how all his passion goes into this product.. From a Developer point of view, a great thing about working here is that being a small team with an epic product, you'll get a chance to own complete features, and thus you'll be able to design/architect your features yourself. Every developer is in charge of its code, and expected to bringing their A-game, so you are trusted and your code is not being babysitted by others. The development team consists of a group of very talented, highly motivated group of the hardest working people I've ever met. If you join you can bet your level and skills will increase, but be sure you are up for the challenge! (read: lazy people: don't apply!) Lastly, the company takes frequent trips and outings, usually beach or boat trips, or both :). There's always music, food and plenty to drink so if you like to work hard but also party hard, you'll love it!

Cons

Management expects the best, and sometimes that may push back date a bit, not too bad, but some times you just want to see your users using your code. If you want the stability, politics and dullness of a megacorp, this is not for you.
