Pros

There are so many pros to working at ezCater. Everyone is smart, transparency comes from the top down, decisions are data driven, autonomy is encouraged and we are moving at lightning speed. Work life balance come in the form of a relaxed work environment, convenient location, and unlimited vacation.

Cons

I had to forgo a 401k match that I've had with all of my former employers, but that is a small price to pay for all of the upsides.

Pros

From two free meals a week, free beer on Fridays, unlimited vacation, and the excitement that comes along with working at a fast-growing startup, it's hard to beat the culture at ezCater.

Cons

There are ways to get responsibilities outside your core role, but you really need to work for them, and they don't translate into raises/promotions. There's a tendency to want to keep everyone at the same pay-rate -- better/more work does not equal more money here. It can be demotivating.

We’re sorry you’re disappointed. And thanks for this input, because it helps us get better. It would help us (and you) more if you’d be more transparent: come talk to somebody who can help. If you think your manager isn’t listening, go up the levels till you feel heard. Something like 1 in 6 of our employees is in a different role from the one in which they started, with different and/or more responsibilities and presumably the appropriate corresponding pay. Maybe we can work together to make it happen for you.

Fantastic place to work

Pros

Applying for a job, and accepting a job at ezCater was one of the best decisions I've made! While I am not currently using the degree I got in college (science background) - I am strengthening my customer service experience, as a member of the Customwr Service Ninja team. Everyday we are thrown curveballs and have to figure out how to solve the problem and keep everyone involved happy. It has tested my patience, grown me as a service rep and improved my communication and problem solving skills. The entire office is fantastic. People are friendly. People are willing to take the time to help you when you have questions. Our CEO Stefania is fantastic - and knows the name of every single employee. And she will stop and chat with you if she bumps into you. It genuinely is an amazing environment to work and develop in. The benefits are continuing to grow as our company is growing - which is rapidly. Things continue to improve, and our hard work is paying off!

Cons

Really not many. We have to work 8 holiday hours - which some can see as a con - but as a ninja you get to work those holiday hours from home! What is better and more convenient than that?
