Pros

I can honestly say, that I enjoyed working with most of my peers. My Team had around 28 people, and the peers close to me had been competent, nice, caring and honestly showed great enthusiasm, even within in the circumstances. My compensation was fair, since I have lots of experience and quite a few successful titles shipped. The compensation of others in my team was not.

Cons

First and foremost, I find it important to clarify that I have not been laid off by Gamigo. However, I have recently resigned and am currently on vacation until the end of my contract. Secondly, I feel it is necessary to address the incompetence of management within the company and the team I was being part of. Specifically, the head of this team was so grossly incapable that neither myself nor my colleagues could comprehend how they had secured this position, or why they were able to maintain it for a year and a half. Despite multiple team members raising concerns to C-Level and HR, their warnings and complaints went unanswered. We informed them, about the department heads' careless and inconsiderate actions, but also ones that where reckless, even company-endangering, as well as suggestions, that, to our knowledge, would have been illegal. I do not believe that this individual had malicious intent; rather, it was a result of a lack of knowledge and understanding, coupled with a good portion of Dunning-Kruger effect. Unfortunately, it seems that this pattern of mismanagement and inefficiency is pervasive within Gamigo. The swift and abrupt firing of employees is concerning, with individuals being given a meeting invitation to discuss their future (just titled "Talk"), only to be informed - without warning - that their employment has been terminated. The handling of these situations lacks professionalism and empathy, further compounding the overall lack of trust and low morale within the company. Moreover, within my own team, there was a notable absence of cohesive processes or legal structure to rely on. There were no bare-bone best practice industry workflows implemented, thus hindering our efficiency and productivity. Finally, within the company, there is a notable lack of training for leadership positions. It is not uncommon for managers to be promoted without adequate preparation or support, resulting in them being thrown into the deep end, without the tools to lead effectively. This, in turn, leads to a breeding ground for the Peter Principle, further compromising the effectiveness and morale of the team. In light of the aforementioned concerns, I can unequivocally state that I cannot recommend working for Gamigo. The lack of job security, coupled with the comparably low pay, disregarded promises and the bad product-reputation, make this a difficult working environment. Furthermore, the absence of proactive leadership, coupled with the lack of trust within the teams, leads to a negative and even toxic work culture.

Pros

Colleagues are great. A lot of space to grow and learn. HR was actively trying very much to offer more benefits and ask for employees opinions

Cons

Salary was very low. Upper management was a bunch of white men who were not really up to speed on what was happening or even up to date on certain practices.
