Pros

The benefits are great and the teams are amazing. Steve is an amazing CEO

Cons

However, employee churn is insane here and there have been no changes at the top as the bottom continues to fall out from underneath them. Recent changes to how we support our customers as its now being purely based off of their ARR is sending shockwaves through our customers. The transition of talent is mind boggling, as now AM's are expected to act as CSMs with no access to the tools they need or knoweldge about the products. I am sure this is just a season, but come on iCIMS you are losing focus on what made you great! People, Processes, and Product. They must all be integrated and be seemless for true success. iCIMS has great people and product, but processes are broken and its hurting the business.

Pros

CEO Steve is phenomenal. Tee shirts and other gear. Company events. Paid “Relax and retreat” days for all employees, a few times a year.

Cons

Manager/Director was horrible! The company pushes sales but doesn’t have the customer support, developers, managers etc. downstream to support the increased sales. Therefore, there were lots of unhappy customers who were hard to deal with. Not enough guidance/support for newbies.

Pros

- Good work/life balance, but mostly because workload isn't properly balanced - Company does well to offer full-company holidays sprinkled in on top of most bank/federal holidays - Structured and clear expectations/guidelines for advancement in role - Stability - Phenomenal place to work if you want to work 2 hours a day and hang with your kids

Cons

As I spent more time at iCIMS, I became overburdened with bureaucratic rituals, top-down decision making, and frustrating structures that diluted my job role and killed any ability I had to improve the team, the organization, or even just myself as a professional. My impression of upper management is that they are more concerned with posturing themselves as thought leaders and decision makers instead of involving the frontline designers, product managers, and engineers in moving the product forward. Anyone with institutional knowledge of specific products or teams would be overruled by higher level execs who took seemingly little to no time to connect with or understand the needs/goals of the teams below them. Last straw for me was getting invited to a meeting with an executive and a number of other selected employees that I thought would serve as a forum to discuss our experiences and this person talked about themself for 45 minutes without showing any consideration of how we as employees thought the company or even our own teams could be improved. They also obfuscate any accountability for decision making on salary and benefits. I got my expected pay raise aggressively cut down for what was supposed to be a significant promotion because I changed remote work locations, and was forced to leverage an outside offer to get the money other employees in my position were receiving.
