Pros

They have beer on tap, some engineers are talented and great to work with.

Cons

Executive management constantly gossips, points blame, and creates this" image" of a fun place to work. iDevices really tries to have a nice culture, and for the most part they succeed (small startup perks). However, this comes at a massive cost of salary and benefits. Of all the jobs I had this place had the worst benefits: no 401k match, low salaries, little health care coverage. Everything was extremely unorganized, no agile development, just a philosophy to do work. I honestly had so much time with no much to do, it was frustrating. A lot of the senior engineers were past the hill of 50, so they don't trust or have respect for younger engineers. Cross team communication was poor. One time, I pointed out a bug to the Mobile team, the engineers literally got mad at me, and did not want to deal with the issue before releasing. Umm, I am sorry that I trying to help better the product? Also, I left before the acquisition, but knowing that there products were not selling, the space they were in was extremely crowded, and no sale price for the acquisition was announced the acquisition was a save our !@#$ please. One year after leaving, I saw a new company photo they took. I didn't recognize half the people, retention at the company was just horrible. Nobody, stayed which also made working here very difficult. Hopefully, the company has changed since I have left, but I am so happy to have left the company.

Pros

At iDevices you have the opportunity to wear many hats and each individual is able to stretch their capabilities and grow technically. Employees take products from ideation to creation (production) and along the way open communication is encouraged. The office is really cool and meals are provided by an in-house chef (subsidized). iDevices has grown significantly but still promotes from within. Unlike most large companies they are able to react and provide solutions quickly. The technology and industry exposure is second to none. Compensation is excellent too and very little turn-over!!

Cons

iDevices is still a young company and thus still finding their way. To be honest I think the bumps and kinks have been ironed out and the future is really bright!!
