Pros
If you like to work alone, there are few if any other programming people in the building with you, as the company has gotten rid of nearly all of its creative staff over the years. Non management people are fine; they're coping as best as they can, like anyone.
Cons
Soul-sucking corporate structure; absolutely no passion or respect for the industry; you'll do the job of several folks and the tech tools you'll be given won't necessarily work. As an added bonus, everything has to go through corporate because they are basically no engineers employed in the individual market clusters.
