Don't Work Here Unless You're Desperate

Pros

You get tickets to cool events sometimes, and there is a lot of free food.

Cons

To start, they will pay you next to nothing. You won't get raises, or bonuses, and will be scoffed at when you say that you need xyz. They require a college degree for jobs that an average HS student can do, and will offer you $30k to do it. They will continuously pile on the amount of work that you will have to do, and will never offer you a raise for taking it on, nor will there be enough time in a work day to do the jobs, and they WILL NOT pay you overtime. They will say there is opportunity to move up, they will laugh, say you don't have enough experience, and then bring in other people with no knowledge of the industry into management positions. They'll say they can't offer you a raise because there is not enough money funneling to the office, and then in the same breath announce that they will say they bout season box tickets to sporting events for over half a million dollars.

Pros

Great people, flexible hours, and working within music is a bonus! If you work hard you will be noticed by your manager. I like this job the most out of any role in media I have had. The pay is also very fair and the benefits keep getting better.

Cons

The office isn't set up like a Spotify since the company is much more mature and doesn't cater to the 'start up' vibe. Otherwise it is an AWESOME place to work.

It was a unique experience

Pros

I was allowed to work from home for many years. My work was obvious because it was published daily, but it was still a nice feeling to know that they trusted you to earn your keep.

Cons

I can't speak for the whole company, but my salary was completely stagnant... for years. I only got more when I begged for more.
