Pros

Working from home, widely varied workday, learning a lot about a lot of different facets of the business

Cons

Sales assistants need to know about a multitude of departments - which is great, it gives us a lot of experience in a lot of different arenas, as well as being an essential part of the company. What's NOT great is that we receive abysmal pay and very little respect for this knowledge and for our necessary contributions. There is no chance for growth or advancement. I have been told more than once upon asking about raises that, "Oh yeah, we don't do that here." When I started this job, I would have stayed here until they forced me out. Now, with the way that more and more AEs have been treating sales assistants (I'm sorry they're stressed but we're not their whipping boys), zero possibility for growth and apparently zero chance for raises, I have no doubt I'll be looking elsewhere at some point.
