Pros

-Radio is a "fun" business with lots of perks -Lots of resources and tools to sell that competitors do not have -Media sales can be very lucrative -Locally, the management team I worked with was wonderful, but obviously this would vary across markets.

Cons

-There is hardly any training for new sales people; just a horrible computer tutorial they make you sit through. You hit the phones and you sink or swim. -I was there during two major rounds of layoffs in 2009 and I was horrified at how upper management handled them. The aftermath was also awful. -The current owners of Clear Channel are not radio people, they are business people. Because of this the product (radio) has deteriorated and it is harder to sell against other companies. -If you are in sales, be prepared to work with some shady clients! You're in charge of all collections for the advertising they can't actually afford to pay for.

Pros

Not many- The company does not provide you with tools needed- even the basic things such as a laptop. They are called Cheap Channel for a good reason

Cons

They are not interested in the future of outdoor advertising - The company is going to be sold Major changes ahead.

Pros

The benefits package was outstanding if the pay was not. Also, they do have ownership of all the good tools for programming that you would ever want (Selector, tons of radio ratings tools, etc.)

Cons

Management some of the worst money grubbing people I have ever met. People hired then fired within 6 months because "change" was needed. Revolving door. Programming people -- the people who work on the product they theoretically sell to advertisers -- treated like worthless and unnessesary expenses (drains) on budget.
